Made it to Dublin, finally - July 2

Emma worked her wonders after we missed the connecting flight at O'Hare.

We left out of O'Hare on British Airways at 6:45 on July 1st and landed at London Heathrow around 12:00 July 2nd.  We had a quick bite to eat before catching a connecting flight at 2:45 to Dublin.

Arrived in Dublin and made it to The Alex Hotel around 5:00 p.m.  This means we left our house at 12:00 p.m. and was at an airport or on a plane about 29 hours, with very, very little rest.

Needless to say, we were not happy (with American Airlines), tired, and smelly.

Gwen took a shower while Ruthanne, Emma, and I went next door to the Gingerman pub for some refreshments and some fish 'n chips.

As you can see, the fish was one large plank.  It was pretty good.

After dinner, Ruthanne and Gwen crashed while Emma and I walked round for a little while in central Dublin.
This is the place where there are many pubs and expensive clothing stores.

Back to the hotel for some much needed rest so we can start early to visit Trinity College, then head for Waterford.

  1. Amazing how i rarely fly, but i am singled out for a pat down almost either coming or going. Perhaps i need to lose some weight & it wont look like i am trying to hide something.
